After a well-attended Opening with a Performance by Lan Hungh and a

wonderful second Event with an interactive Sound-Performance by Franz

Ka, we will set up our first Live-Performance! 

The Finissage will be from 7 to 10pm, the Performance will start during

the evening. 

As a preliminary point we would like to thank all participating artists

and project space operators who made this exhibition possible in the

first place, as well as to all visitors who came and acknowledged the

exhibition :)

“Zur Kenntnis genommen” (acknowledged), beginning on Wednesday September 22nd at the Pandion “The Grid Cabins” close to U-Moritzplatz in Berlin.

For our project "Zur Kenntnis genommen" (acknowledged) we started an Open Call via E-Mails and social networks, where we invited artists and project space operators worldwide to send us their most urgent concern in these pandemic times. We asked them to do it digitally in DIN A4 format.

We, St. & St., made a performative video in which we “acknowledged” the contributions.

At Pandion “The Grid Cabins” will be the premiere of the video alongside with an exhibition of the printed contributions as well as two room installations from us connected to the topic.

At the Opening we will also host a live-performance by Lan Hungh.

On Saturday, September 25th 2021, Monsieur Franz Ka – via Gedankenschmied-Projekt - will show a sound-performance titled “Wählen Sie zwischen 1 bis 6: #SSMIDD” (Choose between 1 and 6: #SSMIDD).

At the Finissage we will show a live-performance of our own.

The myth of Orpheus / Orphée - fragments of greek mythology in a contemporary exhibition: Guillaume Mathivet, Philippe Marcus, Eli Cornejo, Juan Arata, Lan Hungh & SSMIDD. The parenthesis space parenthesis art project is an ongoing series of ephemera expressions of art by an ever changing crew of second front artists on their way to the top of the illusion. This year the project unfolds in reference to the topic of Orpheus who by means of his deal with the underworld wasn't allowed to look back into the labyrinth until his wife would be free. we just happened to (re-)discover an ancient GEDANKENSCHMIED archive which still exists online! even though VIDDLER once shut off it's free service, which then naturally motivated us to stop distributing art via that platform, some of our most provoking video works are still available there in low resolution. since they originate from different artistic contexts they where usually moderated via the gedankenschmied-blog or other sources. to see them all joined together now this way adds a new aspect to their reception. that's why: please go for it and enjoy this casual archive, surprise is guarantied:

( ) Parenthesis Space Parenthesis is a nomadic artist-in-residency program and a close group of participating artists who meet once a year to build up an exhibition, usually without any previous idea, finding their way through the endemic materials and improvisation. During the past projects the process for each residency was a very dynamic exchange of creative energy which led to certain experiences on the way with less focus on the final outcome in the sense of a conventional exhibition. Therefore, now in the third edition of the ( ) A.I.R., we will shift the focus: based on knowing each other quite well, we will now even develop a deeper connection during the flow of working together. All participating artists will, during the building up phase, analyze, remark and portrait the personality shape -and also self-portrait- of each remanding participating artist, documenting this approach in various available media. In the end everyone will collaborate, layer by layer, in a collective mind-map of each persona creating big collages of information and perception.

H2O has been travelling around with FOODS2015 during the last year in Spain, USA, Bulgaria, México, Italy, Slovenia, Peru, Colombia and China to various art spaces, mostly in Spain and Italy though. Now it is coming back in 2016 to Nashville, Tennessee under the curation of Rachel Bubis. The FOODS Series will be shown during one mounth from Jannuary 11th to February 24th @ SEEDSPACE, a place for contemplative exhibit, multimedia and performace art.
